Week 4 in the NFL is fast approaching, with lots of great games on the schedule. However, the matchup you should be worried about first is your fantasy team. That’s where I come in, and today I’ll be bringing you my top sleeper picks to help win you your week. These sleepers could have sneaky good games this week, as they exploit good matchups.
QB Kirk Cousins vs Cleveland
Cousins has had a surprisingly good start to the season and is currently the QB4 behind Brady, Kyler, and Mahomes. Cleveland has allowed roughly 20 PPG to QBs, so look for Cousins on your waiver wire if available. With Cook possibly coming back this week, the overall Offense should improve, and Cousins will benefit.
RB Johnathan Taylor vs Miami
Taylor hasn’t necessarily lived up to his draft price so far, and is currently RB28. He goes up against the Dolphins this week, who just let Peyton Barber score 23.2 points on them. Expect Taylor to have a bounce back week against a weak Miami run defense.
RB Kenneth Gainwell vs Kansas City
Gainwell draws a favorable matchup this week, as the Eagles host the Chiefs at home. The Eagles should be trying to control the game by running the ball and keeping the ball out of Mahomes’ hands, so Gainwell should benefit. He’s currently getting more snaps than Boston Scott, so I like him as a flex play this week.
WR Jakobi Meyers vs Tampa Bay
Despite the New England offense struggling last week, Meyers scored pretty well (18.4 points). He has a favorable matchup against the Bucs this week, who’ve given up 38.3 PPG to WRs. Their secondary has been ravaged by injuries, and with James White possibly out, Meyers could take some of those targets. Nelson Agholor will probably get the shadow from Carlton Davis/Jamel Dean, opening up more opportunities for Meyers.
WR Corey Davis vs Tennessee
Davis started out the year hot with 26.7 points against the Panthers, but has yet to match those numbers since. This can largely be attributed to QB Zach Wilson’s poor play, but he has the ability to bounce back against a weak Tennessee defense. The Titans have given up the 2nd most points to WRs and 11th most to QBs. There’s a possibility that Jamison Crowder will be out, which opens up more targets for Davis.
TE Pat Freiermuth vs Green Bay
The Steelers rookie TE saw a season high usage rate last game and scored 11.2 points against a stingy Bengals TE defense (25th). As the season progresses, I’d expect him to be eased into the Steelers TE1 role and take over for Ebron. He has a favorable matchup this week against the Packers who have allowed the 2nd most points to TEs.
K Younghoe Koo vs Washington
Koo has a great matchup this week against the Washington Football Team who have allowed the most points to kickers so far (14.7). The Falcons offense should improve after a dismal start to the season, and if they can’t make it to the red zone, Koo benefits.
D/ST Tennessee Titans vs New York jets
Zach Wilson is coming off a 2 interception game against the Broncos adding to his total on the year being 7. The Titans don’t have the best defense, but a great matchup could lead to great scoring. Last week the Jets allowed 5 sacks and 9 QB hits, so the Titans pass rush has the opportunities to get sacks.
