Week 5 in the NFL is fast approaching, with lots of great games on the schedule. However, the matchup you should be worried about first is your fantasy team. That’s where I come in, and today I’ll be bringing you my top sleeper picks to help win you your week. These sleepers could have sneaky good games this week, as they exploit good matchups. This week has some players that could
QB – Sam Darnold vs Philadelphia
Sam Darnold draws a decent matchup against Philly and has scored 18+ points in every game this year. He was able to score 31 points last week, despite throwing 2 interceptions, which goes to show you what kind of fantasy player he is. He also leads the league in rushing touchdowns, which in some leagues are worth more than passing ones.
RB – Leonard Fournette vs Miami
Fournette draws a favorable matchup against a Miami defense that allows 23.7 points to runningbacks. With Jones still in the dog house and the possibility that Bernard is still out, Fournette could be a great flex play come Sunday. He also has seen an uptick in usage in the passing game and is on pace for 60 catches this year.
RB – Darrell Henderson at Seattle
Henderson is due for a great game against a Seattle defense that allows the 3rd most points to RBs. The Rams game plan should be to run the ball, control the game and keep the ball out of Russel Wilson’s hands. If he’s fully healthy, he’s a solid RB2/Flex play and has notched 15 points in every game he’s played in.
WR – Marvin Jones jr. vs Tennessee
Jones jr. is currently the highest-scoring fantasy receiver on the Jaguars and faces the Titans who’ve allowed the most points to receivers. With DJ Chark out, Jones and Shenault should absorb those targets and get more chances to score. Jones has scored 53.8 points (more than Ceedee Lamb and Robert Woods) without topping 100 yards yet, so positive regression is due to come.
WR – Emmanuel Sanders vs Kansas City
Sanders has emerged as a solid WR2 for Buffalo in real life, and a solid flex option for fantasy. The Chiefs just allowed Devonta Smith to score 19 points and rank 12th in points allowed to WRs. With lots of attention on Diggs, Sanders could see increased work come Sunday.
TE – Dalton Schultz vs NYG
Schultz has quietly become TE4 over the last couple of weeks and is currently only rostered in 30.7% of ESPN leagues. For a guy that’s scored double digits in all but one game, Schultz should be a great option against a Giants D that’s surrendered the 4th most points to TEs. Go pick up Schultz and start him with confidence this week.
D/ST – New England vs Houston
The defense that just stifled Brady and the Bucs should have no problem with Davis Mills and the Texans. The Texans have scored only 2 touchdowns with Davis Mills at the helm, and just got shut down by the Bills.
K – Brandon McManus vs Pittsburgh
McManus has a great matchup this week against the Steelers (3rd most to Kickers). So far, he’s the K6 and has scored at least 9 points in ¾ games this year. With Lock now starting, I’d expect the Offense to settle for field goals a lot more.
